Microfinish Named “Top Shop” for 4th Consecutive Year
Products Finishing magazine, a leading source for surface finishing news and technology since 1938, has named St Louis’s own Microfinish a 2018 “Top Shop” for electroplating services as determined by the popular trade publication’s industry bench-marking survey.
The extensive survey, first published in 2015, analyzes surface finishing companies based on four categories: current finishing technology, finishing practices and performances, business strategies and performances, and training and human resources. First issued in 1936 and with a circulation of over 31,000, the Products Finishing publication features Microfinish as a four time winner, having already won the award in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
The comprehensive bench-marking survey is broken into four categories:
- Current Finishing Technology: Most up-to-date equipment and technology
- Finishing Practices and Performances: Best practices in areas such as testing, quality control, environmental stewardship, and shop management.
- Business Strategies and Performances: Unique and profitable operation plans with business strategies that attract and retain customers.
- Training and Human Resources: Evaluates how shops hire and train employees as well as their compensation
The full survey runs more than forty questions, providing an industry benchmark.
