Microfinish has been finishing metal for a long time. In 1959, our founder Stan Smith began our shop in his basement tumbling stampings to remove burrs and smooth the surface finish of parts. This improved their “Microfinish” and the name stuck. Over these six decades, we’ve moved out of Stan’s basement into a state-of-the-art 240,000 square foot facility that meets the needs of almost 500 nationwide customers.

Our organization is also compliant with REACH Regulation for Finishers, a European Union guideline that governs chemical substances and their effects on the environment and human health. REACH is the strictest legislation in place, and this has direct impact on the surface finishing industry. Microfinish has met and exceeded these regulations for almost twenty years.
