Happy 65th Anniversary to Microfinish!
The year 1959 was pivotal in American history. Alaska and Hawaii became states. The Swanson TV dinner revolutionized mealtime. The classic series “The Twilight Zone” debuted on CBS. And in the basement of a Midwest home, Stan Smith began a legacy that would become Microfinish, the premier metal finishing provider starting in St. Louis, then the Midwest, and now serves companies across the USA.
In 2024, Microfinish celebrates 65 years of service.
Tom Kemper, Stan’s son-in-law took Microfinish from a 3,400 sq ft facility, to two facilities totaling nearly 60,000 square foot facilities and brought automation to our processing, dramatically increasing Microfinish’s capacity to do high volume consistent finishing. We now utilize over 240,000 square feet in a state-of-the-art facility to meet the growing needs of our nearly 500 clients. They represent a variety of industries including automotive, home appliance, heavy equipment, electrical, lawn & garden, and communication.
